What is Hydroderm used for​​​?

Hydroderm contains the active ingredient Hydrocortisone Acetate. It belongs to a class of medications known as topical steroids. Topical steroids are applied to the skin to relieve skin conditions like swelling, redness, inflammation, itch and allergic reactions.

As hydrocortisone works by combating inflammation, it's not meant for blackheads or whiteheads, but rather for red, angry, underground pimples. It's also not something you should be using across your entire face; instead, it's best for targeted spots and used for only short amounts of time.

Dosage and how to use​

• Follow the instructions on your medication label and take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. 
• Gently wash your face with a non-irritating cleanser.
• Apply a dab of hydrocortisone cream and softly rub it in.
• Use it once to twice per day when inflammation is present or as prescribed by your doctor.

Can I use Hydrocortisone with other medications for acne?

Absolutely,  Hydrocortisone is compatible with topical preparations such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Sulfur, and Retinoids. It is also compatible with oral medications such as Isotretinoin (Acnotin, Oratane, Accutane)
